The Avon Otakaro River gives natural life to the city of Christchurch. Here we have developed a place to reengage with the wonder and importance of water in all our lives. Eden Project NZ has partnered with the Eden Project Cornwall and its founder Sir Tim Smit to imagine an international class destination that speaks to the heart of who and where we are. It braids stories of the Natural World, Maori, and Pakeha to explore and celebrate relationships between nature and culture. It includes a new experimental neighbourhood for the city – a place to imagine what great looks like – welcoming world leaders in social enterprise, research, horticulture and art to collaborate with local pioneers and emerging talent.
